Whiskey Sour
WHISKEY SOUR😍
Welcome to Friday friends! The day you reward yourself from a long week of staying in your home with a cocktail, or two ;) Today I’m going for a personal fav - the whiskey sour - with a slight twist - using maple syrup in place of simple syrup saves you time in the kitchen and also gives it a nice, very welcome subtle maple flavor. I’m a big fan of the texture egg whites give in cocktails, but feel free to omit if it’s not your thing! Quick and easy, you’ll want to make this ASAP!
Serves 1.
Ingredients:
For the Whiskey Sour:
2 shots whiskey (I like Woodford Reserve, but use what you like)
1 shot lemon juice (about 1 lemon)
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 egg white (optional)
Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Ice
Directions:
For the Whiskey Sour:
Add whiskey, lemon juice, and maple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Shake dry for 10-20 seconds.
Add the egg white and shake for about 30 seconds, depending on how frothy you like your drink.
Add ice and shake another 10 seconds until cold.
Use a strainer to pour over a cocktail glass filled with ice and enjoy!
